GUERRILLA REP & MAMA CALIZO'S VOICE FACTORY
PRESENT THE WORLD PREMIERE OF
STRINGS
MAY 14 - JUNE 6, 2009

Strings, a new "bromantic dramedy" written by Terrence Beswick and directed by John Caldon, plays May 14 - June 6 (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) at Mama Calizo's Voice Factory at 1519 Mission Street in San Francisco.

Strings, from the writer/director team of last year's hit tragicomedy hotshot, features Juan Carlos De La Rosa and Michael Rodriguez as two brothers who are collaborating on a new play about family, fiddles and demons. But are these memories or fantasies? Whose story is this? The connections they make surprise them both.

"Strings is both a drama about a memory of a nightmare and a comedy about a nightmare of a memory. Terry Beswick's latest play holds a mirror up to itself, and in so doing becomes simultaneously poetic, hilarious, and haunting," says director Caldon.

For tickets ($15 general, $12.50 students/seniors, $10 groups of 10+), call 800-838-3006 or click here for Brown Paper Tickets.

A portion of all ticket sales from Strings will be donated to Community United Against Violence.

Quote of the Day

"Remember Handel? Who, that was not born
Deaf as the dead to harmony, forgets,
Or can, the more than Homer of his age?"
Cowper
