The Alvarez Chamber Orchestra, registered charity 1120668, is looking for more trustees. Anyone interested in working with a dynamic team on a series of projects with an International focus with musicians from as far afield as Germany, Poland and Portugal, in areas such as contractual agreements, fundraising, publicity, could contact us here initially or write to our office: Phillip Costen, Secretary, The Alvarez Chamber Orchestra, 5 Rensburg Road London E17 7HL

The most immediate project is a New Music Day focusing on Berio's Folk Songs at Roehampton University (see My Events)

The next major project is the premiere of a harp concerto written especially for us and our harpist Elzbieta Baklarz by the Polish composer Boguslaw Schaeffer.
Maestro Schaeffer will be 80 next year.

Hi Geoffrey, sorry not to reply sooner. Would be very interested in chatting further or meeting up. Let me know what suits.

Thanks for your kind comments - I'd love to hear more of the your work.

It is such interesting music, I think it is incredibly atmospheric. I have never been to the cemetery you write about, but listening to the music I could imagine being there, reflecting on the histories of the place and the people buried there. The Graves setting (no pun intended) is very evocative, like all your music here. I was lucky enough to work with Peteris Vasks recently, and there is not a similarity but an affinity of style between you two (I hope you take that as a compliment!) Anyway, I can concoct stuff to a brief, but you are a real composer! And the orchestra sounds great!

Dear Geoffrey,

Thank you very much for your message regarding adding music tracks, and also your suggestion regarding live chat.

I've passed your comments on to the management and hopefully there will be more clear information on MusBook soon about music track copyrights.

Thanks so much for taking the time to send us your suggestions.

With best regards,
Justin @ MusBook.com Support

Thanks for posting the music tracks. I have 'featured' a couple on the main page, which should help direct traffic and interest to your home page (which is looking great, btw!
