The Mendelssohn Project - Unearthing Mendelssohn's lost works

Hello Everyone,
On February 3rd, I heard a wonderful program on National Public Radio's Morning Edition about the discovery of over 200 unpublished works by Mendelssohn. Some of them were performed for the first time on the 200th anniversary of his birth on February 3rd. Here's the web address of the National Public Radio page where you can hear the broadcast--it's a little over seven minutes. www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=100144614. It's on the Arts and Entertainment page dated Feb 3. Martha Maria

Quote of the Day

"Remember Handel? Who, that was not born
Deaf as the dead to harmony, forgets,
Or can, the more than Homer of his age?"
Cowper
