Lori is, indeed, a rare breed among operatic soprano/mezzo-sopranos, as she is equally at home singing avant garde new music, 'legit' musical theatre, standard and scat-style jazz, as well as pop-style background vocals.
Known for her rich vocal tone, expressive interpretation, precise intonation, accurate musicianship and incredibly clear diction in four languages, Lori is regarded as a 'first call' operatic/classical singer. Her voice is big, yet not edgy and always records well.
Lori loves to sing jazz, and unlike most operatic singers, she sings this style with a clean, clear tone and in a low register, with a tasty use of vibrato.
Lori is also a very experienced background vocalist and really knows how to blend her tone within a group setting. Her wide range also allows a few over-dubs of her to sound like a female trio (soprano/mezzo-soprano/alto).
Her relaxed, professional attitude and good sense of humour, makes working with Lori a real pleasure!
