Q: Why is my name/photo/email address already uploaded when
I register? Are you the CIA?
A: No, we're not! MusBook is powered by a great technology
platform called NING (
http://www.ning.com/). Your login is
powered by something called a Ning ID, which is a universal login
that you can use to access any site that uses the same system.
Therefore, the chances are that you've used a network in the past
that also runs on the Ning platform. You will have uploaded your
details yourself: Ning is just bringing them straight into the
MusBook network for you.
Q: How do I change the photo / change the theme of my
profile page?
A: Click through to your profile page by selecting 'My Page' on
the menu bar. Then, on the left hand column underneath your current
profile picture, you can select 'change theme' or 'change
photo'.
Q: Why do you only offer email support?
A: Telephone support is extremely costly therefore, like other
websites, we offer only email support. Also, our customer service
team is spread across multiple timezones, in order that we can
serve you around the clock. This would not be so easy with a
telephone service. Finally, email customer service is fully
trackable and means that should something go wrong (we're not
perfect!), it can be easily traced and sorted out.
