Do you Twitter?

Until very recently, I couldn't see the point of this latest social media fad. Then two days ago, I found a use for it. I figured that as my blog moves pretty slowly - and as the software that makes it work can handle feeds from Twitter - I could use what is, essentially, a form of micro-blogging to keep up a steady stream of new content to my site. And so far, it's working out well for me.

Anyone here using Twitter in an unusual or interesting way?

Here's one - the Britten Sinfonia.

Thanks, Louise. I'm now following them (as Twitter parlance has it).

I've got a Twitter feed at classicalnews, which attempts to keep up-to-date with all the latest classical music happenings.

For short urls - a must on Twitter - I use musurl.com which I have to admit is a site I set up myself. Feel free to use it when you need to shorten website addresses and let me know what you think.

I've just joined Twitter under the ibmar label. Still can't get into it. Perhaps someone can educate me on its advantages

PS Have added both Phil Best and Martin Le Poidevin to my list on Twitter. What's your label Friedrich?

Hi all... this is Justin here from MusBook Support.

Well, I've kind of been sworn to secrecy, but let me put it this way: you're going to see a 'very significant' change to MusBook in the 'very near future'. Sorry to sound like a politician... I'm not allowed to reveal anything!

But I think it's fair to say that if our tech heads haven't yet created a way for you to incorporate twitter into your MusBook page, they'll be onto it as soon as they see this thread :) .... if you can give us a month or two, that would be great.

Best regards,
Justin Delleur

"Remember Handel? Who, that was not born
Deaf as the dead to harmony, forgets,
Or can, the more than Homer of his age?"
